About Richard Barone
I was a great artist in the fifth grade, at least thats what my fellow classmates and art teacher thought. Thanks. It was commissioned by the late Joan Bixby as an anniversary present for her son and daughter-in-law. Unfortunately, Tina didn't like the colors, probably an excuse for not liking the portraits. They were on a trip to Hawaii (Diamondhead in the background). Eventually, they gave it to Tina's mother, who probably appreciates good artwork. Joan and I were unsure which photo to use. It's risky to paint teeth, (John Sanden said he never paints teeth), especially when you improve dental work. That might have been the turnoff for Tina.

Fabulous portraits, Richard. It is difficult to do one portrait but two, together compounds the difficulty. I like the background. Great painterly brushstrokes with a sure hand. I can see their personalities. f/v/t
