Bradley was the "soldier's general." I never met him but think he was one of the best. He had a look of confidence, the kind of general who got things done with a smile rather than a pistol on his hip. The composition, however, is amateurish, with the center of focus on the nose rather than an eye. I painted this before I took Sanden's portrait workshop. Maybe I should do it over again. It went on the Van-Go Mobile Museum last year and the students liked it a lot.
